Let’s be real. Nowadays the luxury cosmetics can be pretty expensive but we want it all anyway. However, is it possible to get anything for free? Well after few years of buying occasionally the high quality cosmetic products I learnt this three hacks that keep my purse alive!
Duty Free Zone = PRICE REDUCTION
Purchasing a big pack of delicious chocolate bars or candies may be not such a bargain. But when it comes to expensive cosmetics such as Chanel, Dior, YSL, etc.
“the price is often much more flattering in airport duty-free shops”
Let me show you a price example from real life. When I was in France last month, I desperately wanted to buy myself a nice red Chanel lipstick (I know it sounds cheesy but I couldn’t help myself). So I went to Sephora and it was 38€ per one lipstick but (un)fortunately they didn’t have the shade that I was searching for. However on my way back to Slovakia, I went to the duty-free shop at the airport and I found THE shade and… Pow! It was only 27€ per one!
Recycling Programmes = FREE PRODUCTS
Do you know that approximately 1/3 of our typical landfill waste is composed of cosmetic packaging? That’s why some cosmetic brands out there are (at least) trying to make a difference.
M.A.C with their “Back to M.A.C programme” offers a free lipstick of your choice as a thank you if you return every six (6) M.A.C empty primary packaging container to a M.A.C counter or M.A.C Cosmetics Online.
Furthermore, LUSH – the fresh handmade cosmetics, is another environmental friendly cosmetic brand which encourages their customers to recycle by returning five (5) LUSH black pots in order to get a free face mask for their skin trouble. How simple!
Loyalty cards = FREE GIFTS
Companies all across the world are now using loyalty programs more often than ever before to reward their customers for so-called “purchasing behaviour”. Basically, a lot of cosmetics brands have the similar terms of their loyalty programmes.
